Question
hi. i have a pregnant ( im pretty sure) female cavoodle. this is her second litter she had pups a year ago and everthing went like a text book. my problem is how do i get her to stop jumping in the air like a circus dog. at night i put her in the laundry which is inside the house ( i use a baby gate to keep her in). since just after she has been bred everytime i put her in the laundry for the night she jumps up high  for around half hour sometimes less and whinges to come out with me.(she is like a yoyo goes up and down jumping the entire time before she settles for the night once she realises im not coming to let her out till morning. how do i stop her from jumping as i dont want her to harm the pups.(she has always jumped high but even more now she is pregnant) but now she does this little whinge.when she is out in the house she follows me everytime i get up to do something(lol).she has always slept in the laundry so this is not a new thing. her last pregnancy she settled down a bit but still jumped a little. but this one she is extra hypo.im trying to keep her calm.last pregnancy i cooked all her meals and she had dry dog food with it. but this one she is on canned foods and rolls and the dry food. any idea you have i could try. she just need to settle. thanks in advance.
ps. you helped me through her last pregnancy a year ago.

Answer
Hi Leanne

If she was active prior to being bred, there is no reason to stop her activities (jumping).

It could however, be attributed to the food you are feeding her. If you are feeding her a food high in preservatives as some canned and especially the rolls are, there's a good chance she can't process them and it gives her the symptoms of A.D.D.   I have a couple dogs that if they are on anything but the high end food, they can't focus to catch a ball.  But on a balanced, well made food, my smartest dogs.

A number of brands I recommend are Timberwolf, Solid Gold, Fromm, just to name a few.  Also, I would supplement her with vitamins and oils, Nature's Logic makes a good product.

Good luck.
