im thinking of breeding my staffie and i want to know how many days into heat shoud i put our staffie with the dog we want to mate it with?

Hi Bella. Most breeders try on days 11 and 13, or on days 12 and 14 of the heat cycle. Your best clue though, is how your female dog acts. If her blood lightens in color and frequency, if her vulva softens up some, and if she's flagging to the male, then she's ready. You only need two breedings, anymore than that is over kill and you'll end up with too many due dates, and maybe even a few pramature pups. Good luck!
