Question
My dog passed an empty sack, is this a sign of a problem with her having pups, she is in labor.

Answer
Hi Ava. It doesn't mean that something's going wrong. Sometimes, it happens. When this happens, it usually means that something may have been wrong with that puppy, it died, and mom's body absorbed it, but left the sac. Just keep a good eye out. After she gets done whelping, take her to the vet and ask about a clean out shot. If she goes more than 3 hours between puppies, call the vet straight away. Good luck!
