how can i tell if my dog is pregnant

i noticed my german shepherd females teats have got very big. i have a male toy poodle and when she is in heat he goes mad for her. i think he might of got her somehow. how do i tell if she is really pregnant or is having a false pregnancy without a vet (we dont have enough money)

I have my doubts that a toy poodle and a GSD could mate without assistance.   

When did your female go into heat?

I would think that your female is going through a false, toy poodle pups would be so small that she may not even expand.
