Question
I have recently adopted a rescued retired breeder.  She is a 3 year old English Bulldog.  She is in good condition weight wise. She weighs in at 54 lbs.  She just weaned the pups about a week and a half ago.  My question is will the hanging teats go way? And is there anything we can do to help?  We know she will never have a smooth belly but she looks like she could use a bra.  The milk has dried up  and the teats are flat.

Answer
Hi Erica. It depends on a few things. It depends on how many litters she had, and how well of care she recieved. The more litters a dog has, the more saggy she may become. Kind of like in humans. :-) It should get somewhat better overtime, but she'll most likely never look like she did before she had puppies. The best thing that you can do for her is to make sure she is on a quality food, plenty of water, and plenty of exercise. You said that she just weaned a litter. Give her a few months, and you should see an improvement. It just takes time and patience.
