Question
Hello...The male saint bernard doesn't seem to be mounting the female high enough to get into her.....he gets up there and then begins to pump, but is hitting the side of her rear and not getting close enough to actually get in her...any suggestions???  How can we help?

Answer
Hi Gina. Is the male smaller than the female or is he just not hitting the target? If he's a bit smaller than her, you may want to put him on a slope, with him higher than her. If he's just not getting it right, you can try to help him by gently nudging him into place. Some boys just need to be shown what he's suppose to be doing. What day of her cycle is she on?
