Question
How old does a male daschund have to be before they are able to breed?

Answer
Hi Veronica -- regardless of the breed, a male is able to produce viable semen at four to five months of age.  I would not recommend breeding a male younger than 10 month to a year because you want to see how your male develops,  grows and matures out mentally and physically before he starts producing off-spring.
