QUESTION: Hi i have a shih tzu x maltese and she is about 18 mths old shes my little baby always stayed inside unless she needed to go to the toilet then straight back insde.New people have moved in next door and they have a pomeranian, some how hes got in my yard and i found then. A few days later we couldnt find both dogs my husband found them down the street and she had been up to something. Last week she had to go get her hair clipped and the lady who clips her said she was pregnant and i noticed she has gotten so fat and big boobs. i have no idea what date it was or when she could be due..I have no dear what to expect so i have been reading up on the Internet on what to do when she does have her puppies...i need all the advice i can get and i know i should have had her fixed up!!!!!

ANSWER: Hi Lauren. First of all, you need to take her to the vet for a check up. The vet may recommend an x-ray to see when she's due. Then, you need to make her a whelping box, and put it in a warm, out of the way room. Then, get your supplies ready. I'll be more than happy to give you some really good web sites on this if you want them. Just let me know. Talk to your vet, and find out what whelping problems your dog's breed may have, so that way you're prepared, especially because of her age. You just let me know what exactly you're wanting to know, and I'll be more than happy to help!:-)

Answer
Hi again Lauren. Sorry it took me longer to get those sites to you. The disc that I had my favorites on didn't work, so I had to go back, and try to find them again. Here are some helpful web sites that I love, and send a lot of people to:
