my female being rejectec

Hi Melissa, I have a 2 yr old feamale Chihuahua that is reaady to mate.I
know this because she flags her tail to the side when I pet her. Well my
neighbors also have a Chihuahua but a male. They seemed to have got
tied once,but ever since then my bitch still wants more.my question is
why is the male rejecting her now? She runs to him and cries and jumps
on him but he runs away. Do u know WHY?

how many days into her heat is she? after her fertile 3 to 5 days some males wont show any interest. you could try seperating them for a few hours and then puttinh them in the fence and observe from a window. some dogs dont like to be watched while others could care less who is around. i had a male that wouldnt mount unless they were alone and i had a male that tied with my bitch in my living room during a family reunion! each dog is different.
