Question

My Beautiful Dollie
Hello...I have a Boston Terrier that is four years old. Recently, well, to be exact, was breed August 2nd, to August 10th. They were tied everyday, and sometimes twice a day. I am wondering why she isn't getting very "big". It seems her Teats have swollen, but nothing else. What does this mean? Could it be she only has one pup in there? I have figured a due date of Oct. 6th. Give or take a few days. I have asked our vet, and she said that they could do a x-ray, but thats another week away, and I'm just really bothered that there really isn't much of a change in her appearance yet. This will be her first litter. What do you think? Thank you for your time!, Mary

Answer
Hi Mary. Actually, you have 9 due dates is she was bred on every day between the 2nd to the 10th. I really wouldn't worry too much about her not getting that big. Some girls just don't, or they carry their pups up higher making it harder to feel/see them. She still has a few weeks to go yet, and if she is pregnant, she'll most likely start to show by then. I would definitely do the x-rays. Depending on when she took, if you do them too early, you won't be able to see them. I'd wait until the end of next week or the begining of the week after to do them. Good luck!
P.S. Your girl is too cute!
