Range of numbers of puppies

My tiny toy poodle is pregnant. I have an app. for an exam with yer vet. I wondering if you know what an average no. of puppies that tiny toys have. I don't know if I should start preparing for about 1 or 6. I know an ultrasound or xray by her vet will tell us, but until then can you give me an idea?

The average litter size is 3 to 4 puppies. Although an ultrasound can detect fetal heartbeats, in my experience an X-ray is usually the best tool for determining number; however, even that isn't fool-proof, as it's not uncommon for one or even two puppies to "hide" behind others.
