Help with gaining wait after giving birth

Hi My shih-tzu just gave birth 4 days ago. She gave everything she had in doing so. She was a good weight before breeding and she got really big during her pregnancy she whelped 7 pups but only 6 have lived. She eats all the time and is drinking but not really putting the weight back on. What can I give her with out it hurting her to gain weight. Just need some help with her weight gain. She is a really good mom very caring for her first litter.

The weight loss is very common with a larger litter.

A high quality puppy food will help but supplementing with raw is the way to go.   Raw beef organ meats or cooked chicken is the best.  The raw heart, liver and kidney are high in protein and are readily available at any grocery store.
