Question
I have a 8 month old cross Chihuahua/Yorkie/pom.
I have kept my male cross dog (Shitzu/Bhi.fise)away from here for 6 nights. Sleepless nights and a stairgate helped.
Tonight I have let them in the garden, 15 minutes later they are locked together.
I am now terrified that she is too young to have a litter.
I am reluctant to give her the 'morning after jab, as I done that to my other female and nearly lost her, due to a womb infection, caused I was told by the injection
What can I do, let her continue and have pups or chance the injection...
Please advise me for her safety

Answer
Hi Marina

It is a personal decision one that you have to base on experience, health of your female, and your own moral convictions.

10 months is young to have pups, but on the upside small dogs mature quicker.  On the down side, the may reject their pups.

If you allow her to keep her pups, keep her in top physical shape, give her only quality food (not puppy food, it makes the pups grow to big and then she can have complications whelping).

What ever you decide, good luck!
