Question
MY  BITCH (BRUSSELS GRIFFON) IS  HAVING  HER FIRST LITTER  AND  IS  42 DAYS OF BEING  BRED. SHE  FOR THE  PAST COUPLE OF  DAYS HAS  HAD  CLEAR  MUCUS IN HER PEN  NOT  MUCH   BUT  ABOUT THE SIZE OF  A  DIME , OR A  BIT  SMALLER .IS THIS  NORMAL  SHE  IS  HAVING A  X-RAY  IN  TWO DAYS TO  SEE HOW MANY PUPPIES  SHE  HAS.

Answer
Some dogs have this thin, clear discharge. It's usually normal. As long as it's not a thick gunky, sticky, clearish blob. And a lot of it. That's the mucus plug, they loose that about 24-48 hours before labor. When she goes to the vet in a few days, just mention it to the doctor. It sounds like a normal pregnant discharge though.
