Question
my staffordshire terrier is 65 days pregnant, this is her 4th litter she is seven years old. this was not a planned pregnancy and was an error on my part, ive been concerned since conception but shes been real good and healthy throughout, she seems to have gone into labour today with nesting and slight panting and staying in her birthing bed since 1 0r 2pm today, does labour go any quicker being her 4th or any signs i should be aware of being she is seven years old?

Answer
Hi Christine

It doesn't seem to go any quicker, if your counting the minutes. You're still waiting, and waiting.  And Staffy's are pretty hardly little dogs, so there shouldn't be anything amiss with this whelping, if all the others were in the range of "normal".

The only problem with "older" females seems to be with pups that fade.  Once she does whelp you will want to keep a close eye on the pups.  Pups that seem perfect normal one day will be gone the next.

Good luck.
