my bitch late giving birth

Hi, my bitch (milly) staffordshire bull terrier is late giving birth (second litter). She is 67days pregnant. I spoke to my vet today but because milly doesnt seem stressed so she said leave her. Milly has refused her food today and is laying down but shaking all over do you think she is having her babies soon?

Hi Julie. I would place another call in to your vet about the shaking. Did she do that her first litter? Have you checked her temp? I know that some breeders feel that the shaking or shivering helps to bring the pups into place, but I would still place a call to the vet just to be on the safe side. I'm one of those people that worries a lot, and would rather get an opinion of someone who can actually see the dog, and see what's going on with her. Has she lost her mucus plug yet?
