Answer
1. what are some good reasons for someone to want a boxer or a certain breed? Of course, you want to better the breed. You want to try to make it healthier, more longevity, ect. You want to provide good, healthy, quality dogs to others.

2. has any dog ever mathced up to the standard before? I don't believe so. I don't think that that will ever happen. It gives breeders something to strive for.

3. do some breeders keep some of the puppies that there dog had? Of course! That's one of the most important reasons to breed. You want to do better with each generation, and of course you may want to keep a dog of that breeding to help further your line. If there's not a puppy in the litter that you would want to keep yourself to breed in the future, then you need to reconsider the dogs you're using in your breeding program.

4. do all breeders breed to improve the dog? Sadly, some don't. Some people breed for money, or prestige.

5.why do breeders get the shots, deworm the puppies and do other health checks on them instead of the buyer. To make sure the puppies are healthy before they go to their new homes. Nobody who wants to be a good breeder will sell a sickly puppy. There is a puppy lemon law, where the new owner can sue you if you do sell sickly pups.

Happy Holidays!:-)
