Pregnant Dog Bad Smell

I have a 2.5 year old Shih-tzu who is pregnant. This is her second litter. The first litter had one oversized puppy that was 5 days early and died. We took her to the Vet after and her X-rayed and cleaned and given medicine.

This pregnancuy seems to be going fine, but about half way through she has developed a bad smell and I was wondering if this should be a immediate concern?

Does she have a discharge too?  Occasionally, you will find that there is a slight odor however there should not be a "bad smell".  

I would take the female to your vet immediately to ensure that the litter is still viable in utero and a pup has not died and is now decomposing.
