is my gernam shepherd having maybe one pup

my german shepherd had a tragically A.I mating at day 14. and had an ultrasound at 7 weeks and 6 days after, no puppies were seen she has been behaving like she is in whelp and her rib area has expanded, can she possibly be carrying one or two pups ?

Hi Susan. It could very well be possible. This is why I suggest x-rays at day 50. I believe that sometimes they pick up better. She could also be going through a false pregnancy. I don't know how far along she is, but you may still be able to have an x-ray done. If she's carrying them under her ribs, she most likly won't even look pregnant. Talk toy our vet and see if you can still have the x-ray done. That way, you'll atleast know for sure. Good luck!
