dogs on heat

I have a staff X bulldog,Missie is her name she is about 10 months old. She has been on heat once about 2 months ago. I was wondering how often dogs go on heat and how old should she be before we breed her.

A female will go into heat between 6 - 9 months and then every following 6 - 9 months.  You can expect her to come every 8 months.  

A breeding female should be in top physical AND mental health.  After her 2nd heat is optimal.
