milk in pregant bitches

my rottie bitch is due to have puppies in the next week when dose her milk start to come in as she has droppped teats but no milk in them ? also my friend has a 2yrold female rottie and was in season her 8mth old rottie kept mating with her but there was no tie they mated on a few occasions but still no tie can the bitch still get pregant ? and is he old enough to mate with her?

Hi Sharon -- the milk can come in a few days before, but it can also come in once she starts whelping.  

The has to be a tie to guarantee puppies.   The male is old enough to mate, but at 8 months, he hasn't developed yet, it's important, when mating, to make sure both the male and female are in top physical shape and not displaying any signs of health issues like hip dysplsia or the like.
