Female hiding puppies

My female mix had puppies two weeks ago without our knowledge we found her and the puppies under a bush the first day she had them.  We put her and the puppies in the garage in a plastic pool. Recently she has been hiding her two week old puppies around the yard.Why is she doing this?

HI Roxanna. Some dogs need more of a den to feel like they're protected. Try making her a box of some sort, and see if she will keep them there. If she's very young herself, she may not really know what she needs to be doing. Are there a lot of people looking at or touching the pups? If so, don't let anyone around them except for you. When a mom keeps moving her pups, most of the time she's not comfortable with where they are in the first place. Make her a secure place to keep her pups, without a lot of people being around them. Keep the box in a warm, quiet place. She should then be happy, and keep them in one place. Good luck!
