pregnant mini daschund

My dog,a mini daschund is one year old. She is pregnant by his  brother. What should I expect?What should I do?She is 5 weeks pregnant.Can you please help me.

When you're doing a close inbreeding you have to be concerned about the off-spring.  Inbreeding is a great tool however, you have to ensure that only the best are bred together.  You could expect that some of the pups are going to have serious spinal issues and possibly seizures and tumors as this is common in the breed but as you are doubling up the risk is greater.

In terms of whelping, she requires a box with old towels where she can safely and quietly nest without other dogs bothering her or her pups.
