feeding yorkies

Is it bad to feed 4 day old yorkie by hand. We have a runt that we dont think is getting enough milk from its mother.

Hi. It's not bad to hand raise when you have to. You may want to try this though: first, make sure the smallest puppy gets fed first on mom. Put her on the back two breasts, the biggest ones. Let her nurse as much as she can. Then, top her off with a bottle. This will let her still get her mom's good milk, and also get plenty of food to grow. When she gets bigger, then she may be able to be completely on mom. Good luck, and if I can help with anything else, let me know!
