My two year old shih tzu is on day 14 of heat. She refuses to allow the male to attempt mating. She sits down each time he tries.

Do you know if your female ovulates early or late? Also if she is not allowing the male to mount, she could be earlier or later than you calculated.

You can hold the female across your knees (while sitting on the floor) you can raise her (or lower) so the male can mount her.
