pre-labor?

We are currently waiting the arrival of a newfoundland litter.   The mom's temp dropped earlier today to just under 100.  And she started panting heavily, very restless, searching for small dark places, but we checked her temp again this evening and it is back to 100.3 (her normal night time temp.  Is she in pre-labor, or are we getting ahead of ourselves?  Thanks!

It sure sounds to me like she's gearing up! Watch her carefully when you let her out to potty, so she won't run away trying to find a place to have her babies. Keep a good eye on her, and I'd say within 24 hours, things will be in full swing. Good luck!
