Question
Hi
i have a loveable 3 year old dalmation whom i brought over with me from england 2 years ago, i have mated her in her last season which was in aug08 and she did what she had to do but nothing happened many visits to the vet and lots of money later she had a phantom pregnancy now she has come in season again 2 months late and i found someone else but shes not heavy like before and she says her dogs not interested what is the best day for her to fall pregnant i am leaving her there for 2 weeks....thanks trudy

Answer
Hi. Did all of your testing find anything? Did you have her thyroid checked? The best days to try to breed is on days 11 and 13, or on days 12 and 14. However, some girls ovulate early or later into their cycle. You may want to consider progesterone testing to figure out when ovulation occurs. Good luck!
