Spotting after Breeding

My Chihuahua mated,tied at around day 16(Christmas Day). She was still spotting lightly. Now 5 days later, she is still spotting couple times a day. Will that still occur if she's pregnant?

Hi Sandra. A dog can bleed the whole 3 weeks, weither pregnancy took or not. Every girl is different in how they bleed. One trick that I have picked up on how to tell if a dog is pregnant or not, is that her vulva will still be slightly swollen after her heat cycle is over if she's pregnant. It may not work with every single dog, but it has been a pretty good tool to use on average. Good luck!
