Boston Terrier Pregnancy??

Question
Hello,
My boston terrier, Angel, went into her second heat cycle at only 10 mths old whick I thought was odd b/c I always heard that they usually don't have their first one until over 6 mths of age then again 6-8 mths from that time.  But she was on her second heat in May which was only 4 mths or so from her first heat.  Well I decided not to breed her since she was still so young and was going to wait.  Well since we had her she was inseparable from my male and they stayed together 24/7.  Well I have 4 children ages ranging from 10 years to 2 years old.  We separated the two BTs from eachother to prevent an accidental pregnancy.  Well to my surprise I got out of the shower one morning and my youngest son was already awake and had let them both out of their crates and they were "tied" together in the middle of the livingroom.  I guess he didn't understand the reason for them being separated. So of course there was nothing for me to do except wait until it was over and hope for the best.  Well then again about maybe three days later I had let my male BT out to do his business and play and my kids let the female out without knowing he was already outside...needless to say they tied again.  The first tie was May 13th and the last tie was that weekend.  Her vulva is still very swollen and nipples are getting bigger.  They now appear to have milk sacs forming behind the nipple although no milk is present at this time.  She seems to be getting a little fatter/bigger but not much.  She appears to be getting bigger around the rib cage area other than the pelvic area....could this be a true pregnancy or does it sound like a false pregnancy?

Answer
Hi April,

Well you know for sure in just about 2 weeks if she caught.  Especially as two ties in season is a good chance of producing pups.

All you can do is wait and see, I would consider building her a whelping box, just in case, as with a busy household, it's important for a young female to raise her litter in a quiet spot.

Good luck.
