Question
Hi Joyce!  I am confused about this sentence in your answer-"It is used the light socket about his dog bed."

Also, on the skin scraping they found 20 hpf yeast and 10-15 hpf cocci.  I wasn't sure if that information helped you and further with my skin situation.  My husband is at WalMart searching for the full spectrum lighting to switch out the bulb in the lamp we have over the whelping box.  I did try the shampoo on one pup-before I had your answer-and it was awful....she screamed when the shampoo was applied to her skin.  It was horrific--I will never use it again.

How long before I will see an improvement with the lighting?  Also, the whelping box is right under a window--should I open the blackout drapes and let the sun in?

Thank you for your help--I love this breed and really wanted to be good at this breeding stuff :)

Molly

Answer
Sorry Molly -- it made sense in my head LOL

You can buy the bulb at Walmart and screw it into the light socket, we happen to have one above the bed where my nephew's Boxer sleep. It looks just like a regular light bulb.

With the yeast and cocci you have to watch that your pups don't get a staph infection. Another headache you don't need.

Yes, open the curtains, and let the sun shine right onto the pups.  Sunshine is a wonderful cure for skin issues.
