Dont know who to ask

I have a almost 6 year old Beagle/bassedhound/cockerspainel mixed dog. And I came home yesterday, and she went to walk down the stairs to get off the porch to come to be and she started yelping. So I started feeling her body and she started yelping again when I touched her rib area. I think she may have a broken rib. BUT she can bend both ways just fine and she can jump but not as high as she use to be able too before the injury. And she wont go running. If it was a broken rib can a vet do anything for it. Or is a dog just like a human and has to be just let it be and let it grow back? Remind you shes a outside dog.

If you know anything that would be great. I dont who to ask

You need to take her to the vet to be sure of what the injury is. A broken rib can puncture a lung if that's what it is, and she needs to be on limited movement until it heals. IF that's what it is. Take her in for a definite diagnosis.
