Stud fee with pick of the litter

I have a Maltese with three 6 week old puppies. The family with the stud chose the male from the beginning but have now come back and stated they have pick of the litter and want to change to the female.They are now saying they didn't choose the male. I already have the two females spoken for so how do you suggest I handle this?

Hi. If you have already sold the two females, and the stud owner picked out the male, then they're stuck. You tell them that both females are already spoken for, and that they had chosen the male. A stud owner doesn't get to change their mind in the middle of it. That's not how it's suppose to happen. You'll just have to get a little tough with them. This is why I always tell people to get it in writing. Good luck!
