Question
just wondering if my 9 year old German Shorthair is too old to sire a litter.  I have found a female that I really like and the owner likes my males characteristics.  What are the odds?

Answer
Hi Dan

Unlike females, male can produce right up to the bitter end.

At 9, you can tell the mental and physical attributes of your male.

Your male should be able to produce a million or so "swimmers".  A few tips to ensure good strong sperm.  Don't bath your male a week or so prior to breeding and keep his "boys" at room temp (cold and heat will kill off sperm).

Good luck.
