signs in labor?

QUESTION: hello my mini dachshund is 51 days pregnant today, and has been following me around well more then usual, and when i went to pick her up she had a mucusy greenish discharge. does this mean she is going into labor? this is her second litter just an fyi thank you so much for your time!

Is it a light green or dark greenie/black?

Gestation is 63 days so you have time yet. But a black/green discharge is NOT a good sign.

QUESTION: it was a light green almost whitish color.... thanks

ANSWER: Okay, that color is okay, it's her mucus plug.  Typically it will start to drip a week or two prior to whelp.

QUESTION: ok thank you one more thing she has been following me around and the puppies are moving up a storm and she has been sleeping way more the usual and she barely eats anything, will she be in labor sooner rather then later and another thing; this is a mistaking back to back litter is there something i can do to help with the calcium deprivation, i have been feeding her puppy food and gving her eggs thanks again for calming my nerves your great!

I NEVER recommend puppy food prior to whelping, the pups grow to big and that can cause problems in the delivery.  Better to give her the puppy once the pups are born.

She needs a supplement to her diet, Missing Link, Peterna or the link are all great for a expecting mother. Because of the health complication inherent in the Dachshund, a supplement with calcium should be given as regular maintenance.   

As a side note, pups born before 60 days generally aren't strong enough to survive.
