day old chi pup not eating

mother is trying to feed but pup just wont eat what can I do to help her alone I am going to the vet too.
also I don't think she finish giving birth yet and this been since yesterday starting around 9:00 PM the male came after we lost a female.

A pup can survive for 36 hours without eating.  Their sucking mechanism may not be fully developed.  Make sure the pup has good pink color and is keep warm.  You could try and insert a feeding tube or use a small syringe (without the needle) and feed her goats milk or puppy formula.
