mom cant make milk -formula to bttle feed

Question
I assume three ? are the limit, so I have to start w/ fresh line of questioning here.  My mom is the 10 yr old rotty/shepard.  You recommended making or preferred purchasing formula JUST in case the mom can not nourish her babies.  Is this a special formula for canines, or merely human baby formula?  last question, I promise.

Well, my favorite is Esbilac. You can either get it from the vet, or from Wal-Mart. It's some good stuff. It's not that expensive either. Here are some home made formulas:

1 can evaporated milk (15 oz)
2 egg yolks
1 carton plain yogurt (8 oz)
(add 6 oz boiled water and mix well)

1 can evaporated milk
2 cans water
2 packages unflavored gelatin (dissolved in cold water, heat and blend)
2 beaten egg yolks
1 tablespoon cream (or half and half)
1 tablespoon honey (reduce is stools become loose)
Mix
