american bulldog having puppies

Our American Bulldog is having her 1st littler of puppies.  She had the 1st at 10:30pm Sat night.  The 2nd & 3rd pup did not arrive until 5am-6am Sun.  Then about 3:30pm the 4th arrived but did not make it and the 5th arrived about 4:20pm.  The Vet said that she is expecting 8 to 12 puppies.  Is this normal that it is taking her so long in bewteen puppies to arrive?  Should we seek her Vet to help us with the rest of the puppies?

Hi Joy. I'm hoping that she's either already had them, or you took her to the vet. At times like these, if more than three hours go inbetween pups, it's best to put a call to the vet. With a litter this large, she may get tired, or her uterus may get tired, stopping labor. My best advice here would be to get her to the vet. Good luck, and I hope all is well.
