kidney stones

Question
My 7 year old minischnauzer had surgery about 4 years ago for oxalate (sp) kidney stones.  After surgery was put on Waltham S/O diet.
Within the past 2 years he has had horrible skin, flaky, smelly, licking himself raw.  After many visits to the vet, we have come to the conclusion that he must be allergic to his food.
So I need help, figuring out what to feed him, that will not cause stones, and will not give him the awful skin allergies that he has been going through.  I have been cooking chicken and rice for the past couple of weeks and he is als on prednisone and clindamycin...he is looking much better, but I am not sure if that is just from the meds.
HELP!!!!!
thank you so much for any advice or help that you can give me.
