QuestionHI. MY 2YR OLD BULLDOG JUST HAD SURGERY ON MONDAY-HE HAD NOT DAMAGED HIS KNEE IT JUST BECAME VERY SWOLLEN WITH FLUID AND HE KEPT LICKING IT. THE VETS TOOK A FLUID SAMPLE AND ADVISED THERE WERE 'ABNORMAL' CELLS. THEY CUT HIM OPEN ON MONDAY AND SAID HE HAD A 'GROWTH' AND REMOVED IT BUT WOULD NOT BE ANY MORE SPECIFIC THAN THAT.HE NOW HAS A TUBE HANGING OUT OF HIS KNEE TO STOP FURTHER FLUID BUILD UP FOR NEXT FEW DAY.ANY IDEAS- SHOULD I BE WORRIED?

Hi Chris, Well, so sorry your bullie has had surgery on his knee ( patella area).
I am hoping they can give you more info on the abnormal cells? There can be all kinds of abnormal cells that do NOT turn to cancer. Just ask for a little more info.
As for the tube, it will come out in a few days. Very common for your dog to have this tube after surgery. I hope your vet sent you guys home with antibiotics?
