ANSWER: Hi Cindy
as with all herbal products we must assess how the pet or human will react so to be safe I always suggest starting small then increasing after two days to adjudge how the body copes with these herbs.
So with this in mind I suggest starting at 1/4 tab per day for two days, if no reaction then increase to 1/2 tab over the next two days. By this time the little tapeworms should have said TTFN and be out of the system.it is maintaining the body to be free of parasites which we need to concentrate on so I suggest giving kitty garlic in the diet and diatomaceous earth daily in the diet. Also use a spray made up of 10 drops lavender oil to same of citronella and tea tree in 1 litre distilled water in a garden sprayer can (the type for small plants) spray the cats coat once p[er week and all bedding as tapeworms generally get into the system by flea larvae, on rarer occasions in raw meat. Pimpkin seed crushed with garlic cloves makes a wonderful wormer for dogs and cats try making this at home and by adding some olive oil you also treat furballs.

QUESTION: My cat keeps laying in his litter box he is eating and drinking but i have only seen him urinate and have a bowel movement once in two days but i am also now home foe 8-9hrs a day is there anything i can add to his diet that will assure me he is having a problem i read that apple cider vinegar is good so i have been adding that along with a cranberry supplement dandelion and also nux vomica and urtica urens mixed in with his food

Answer
I would make sure the cat doesnot have a dry diet, and use cranberry extract in high doses say 650mg daily , it comes better in gel tablet form for humans and I would pop a pill into cats mouth daily. The reality is cats are dessert animals and a dry diet is both illogical and dangerous no matter what vets state. A cat needs a high protein and high moisture based diet because this is how they are made. Many cats suffer terribly through human misleading advice (usually vets) who think its appropriate for them to eat a dry diet. Have the cat eat a fresh diet of real meat and fish with access to water daily.Personally I would ban any cat from dry diets.
When they give cats in zoos an exclusive dry diet then they can encourage mini tiger to do same but research showed they suffered and so they eat a real diet of fresh meat.
