Question

Anna before she starte
I adopted a mix breed lab and german shepherd from the shelter in April. She is yellow with web feet, so she has a lot of lab. But, she obviously has some shepherd because of her ears, face, teeth.. When I first brought her home I noticed that she scratched a lot. When she would get excieted she would have to sit down and scratch. Maybe three weeks ago I noticed a small spot about the size of a nickel with hair missing. It grew and grew. I took her to vet and they did a scrape for mites and found nothing. They put her on an antibiotic and some antifungical shanpoo. They thought it might be a bacterial infection. No results, she still is losing hair. Started on her shoulders and on her back, now down her legs. The top hair, which is yellow, is coming out and leaving brown stiff hair underneath. It is not bare skin. Just different stiff and straight brown hair. She looks spotted. Took her to another vet which put her on a mange med inter...somthing. It isn't helping. They did not find any mites either.  She is still scratching and losing hair. Just put her on EVO which is what I feed my shepherds, give her Nupro, She is still scratching and losing hair. Help us. photo is of her before she started losing hair.

Answer

NuVET for all ages
Hi Brenda,  If she doesns't have the mange mites please don't give the mange meds...TOO Toxic ...
I know you went to another vet for a second opinion.

Here is what we can try - all SAFE and Natural / no drugs:
YES, the EVO is a great food choice and the Nupro is fine but I would switch the Nupro over to the NuVET wafer program.

1.  EVO - continue with this...
add some ACTIVIA yogurt / must be activia brand - any flavor - give (1) (6 or 8 oz cup per day ) for 3 weeks.

2.  NuVET /Wafers - immune system booster , allergy blaster and skin-coat healer:  Call 1-800-474-7044  ( they give a 60 day guarantee) -
Take 2 NuVETs per day for long term ( most dogs are on 1 per day)--- YOU are a serious condition and you need the 2 NuVETs per day - VERY safe and ALL Natural.

PLEASE make sure you tell them your referral code is 81098 and your pet nurse is Marie Peppers from AllExperts...

3.  NuVET makes a great TEA tree oil hot spot shampoo - use this 1 x per week for the next 3 weeks and then 1 x EVERY OTHER week - long term ...VERY healing ...

4.  For fleas and tic control - NO Frontline or any other harsh products : SEE here For D.Earth powder or Critter oil:
