QUESTION: I am currently fostering dogs from my local shelter. One of the dogs I have absolutely fallen in love with. Micki is about 5 months old. She is a sharpei/pitbull mix. She has a really bad rash on her stomach that comes and goes. Sometimes it is real red and irritated  other times it's just skin colored bumps. She also has hair loss in lots of different areas on her body. I have attempted to treat with mange medication but this seems to make it worse. What can I do to help her? What do you think it might be? I have attached a pic of her tummy. Thank you very much for your time.

ANSWER: Hi April - so nice of you to help this gal!  I see the photo you sent and it looks like an allergic reaction to something?
Many be environmental and not food related.  ( hard to tell)

If you want some supplements to try, let me know - I can direct you to a few that are low cost.
What is she eating?  ( Brand)

Let me know

Thanks
BEST wishes!!!

QUESTION: Thank you so much for your reply. I would love to know about supplements. She is currently on Kibble and Bits. I have also tried two other foods. I don't think it is a food allergy but it could be. Any further info would be greatly appreciated.
