Pink spot on neck, itchy, small lump

Question
I have a seven month old female (spayed) wire fox puppy.  She has a small are on the front of her neck, where a collar might rub, that has some missing hair and the skin is a bit pink (like a rash).  I do not keep a collar on her expect to go outside.  I did get a tick off near this area a few weeks ago but that area is mostly healed but a small bump remains.  This past tick area is not where the rash are is, however.  There feels like two small lumps on each side of her neck hear this rash area.  I didn't really find this on my other older wire so I'm not sure what this is or if I need to take her to the vet for an exam.  Thanks much for any information.

Answer
Hi Carol,
Thanks for your message.  I feel that it is probably best to go to the vet and get a proper diagnosis for these strange little lumps.  It may be nothing, or it could be a bite of some sort that she is reacting to.  Once the vet can give you a more definate answer as to what it is, then we can look at natural ways to relieve it.  Without a proper diagnosis, we could just be stabbing in the dark trying many different things.  It is important that she is checked out to make sure she is not suffering from a poisonous bite or something else.
Please do get back in touch once the vet can be more specific.  We can then look at preventative herbal remedies.
With thanks.
Silva.
