Question
Hello, I know you are listed as the English bull dog lady but I wonder if you could give me some direction as to which Hollistic therapies I could use to help the dog, he is two years old, his arthritis is in all four legs, not hips he is 38kg, he had started metacam 100ml bottle in November and the bottle is still 3/4s' full, is there some supplement that I can use to help build stronger muscle around his joints or to just generally help ease symptoms.
thank you for your time and I hope your life is tickety boo

Answer
Hi Jo, How about adding some Turmeric to your dog's food - mix well:

Turmeric for Canines;  go to your local vitamin/health store and get some Turmeric pills -

Turmeric Typical Dosage for a Husky sized dog - Husky dogs are 40 to 60 pounds.

A standardized extract of turmeric supplying 400 - 600 mg of curcumin can be taken three times per day in capsules or tablets for a large sized dog...
( or at least 2 capsules per day)- for Medium size dog

( *I would start him on 2 per day :)

Make sure you always serve this herb with food....
( it can upset the belly)
I am sure your Holistic vet knows all about the Use of Turmeric in canines:

Turmeric can be found at many stores that carry vitamins and herbs for Humans.

Dogs take Turmeric all the time...
Turmeric can be taken long term.

The drug from you Vet can be taken with the Natural Turmeric.
You dog has a inflammation problem and this anti-inflammatory should do the trick.

BEST wishes to you two!
