Question
Hi Sue,

would you recommand dog owners to use baking soda on dogs as toothpaste and dry cleaner?

thanks
Alice

Answer
I'm not much for "dry cleaners" but baking soda could definitely be used as one. Years ago when I worked with Fezziwig Kennels, the original Old English Sheepdog kennel in the US,they used baking soda to put on the dogs beards to dry out the water on them after a drink and to prevent the beard from staining.

It does make an excellent tooth paste as well, but if you add essential enzymes to the food or any of the available liquid enzyme based tooth products to the drinking water you can not only clean the teeth naturally, but improve the digestion, coat, and overall health of the dog as well.

Take care!
Sue
