Question

My Shadow
I have a 22 months old dalmatian puppy called Shadow. He passed blood in July and I have had his blood checked for food intolerance. He is intolerant to beef, dairy, pork, lamb. He is a RAW fooder and I have his food made by a professional raw food company. And I give him raw chicken wings/carcasses also and at the moment I can get him venison bones. His whole diet is Organic. He is also only homeopathically treated.

He has had probiotics and herbs for healing. The blood has not returned, but his stools are as follows on his morning walk:
1st: dry and crumbly
2nd: normal
3rd: runny
4th: runny
5th 6th 7th etc - drips of clear water. Any idea what it could be? MAybe IBS? He looks like if he is straining and I feel he is NOT right in himself????

Answer
Greetings Viola,

When you say "He has had probiotics and herbs for healing." do you mean that he is continually on probiotics? If not, I would recommend putting him on an enzyme and probiotic supplement on a daily basis.

Also, if you are having a balanced food prepared for him professionally, your addition of chicken wings/carcasses and venison bones could simply be a bit too much for his system to handle. Try cutting out any extras and see if that changes anything.

I traditionally approach things using the "K.I.S.S." principle: Keep it simple sweetie!
I generally take things out before putting things in.

He probably had vaccines given to him by the breeder before you got him if you haven't given him any since, so you may want to consider having your holistic vet treat him with the homeopathic remedies for vaccinosis. Often this will remove any lingering toxins from vaccines which block other remedies from being effective.

Keep me posted. I like knowing how things are going.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
