Question
Is there a home made remedy to use on objects to keep my 6-yr-old Golden Retriever from damaging it?   He chewed light strings recently on our Christmas tree!    We replaced them and he did it again!   I sprayed some "Bitter Apple" on the tree but I'd like to make my own deterrent.   Thanks!

Canine home-made Repeller-

**Mix pure lemon juice in water, and spritzing the areas where you don't want your dog to bite or chew.  Since it is the Christmas Tree lights make sure they are off for 30 minutes before you turn them on.   I hope your dog does not like the smell and taste.  Make sure you use a good amount of lemon juice mixed with water 3:1 mix  ( water to lemon)
This gentle and natural homemade dog repellent seems to work well with many dogs.

Cayenne Pepper Dog Repellent

Cayenne pepper is another choice for repellent.
Capsaicum in cayenne pepper very irritating to skin, eyes, nose.
Don't know how you would use this to protect the Christmas Tree's lights????
Most of the time you sprinkle this around an area.
