sick doggy

QUESTION: i was at the vets today , my dog has been throwing up for 4 days , first it was yellow ,now 3 days it was brown looked like dark wood stain?but she had a small blood-clot.the vets didn'nt really do anything or give her anything knowing she has athritis youd think they would at least give her something , but we did get a estimate to extract her tooth.shes 15 years old and all of a sudden now she wont eat anything soft  even.shes drank some water thank god. but i found some unknown looks like glass from a winshield on my sidewalk? i kinda am very skiddish trusting anyone. i was just wonderind if someone may have put glass in food, my boyfriend says im really wrong. but i dont know how else she could spit up blood, well all in all do you think a stomach pump is a poss. solution to figure this out? without harming her /or a x-ray? i just want her to live. thankyou


NuVET Pet Tabs - the b   ANSWER: Hi Dawn - I understand your concern about the blood.  Many times when a dog is elderly and vomiting blood can be seen in the vomit.  It is from excessive vomiting and many times viral.
I don't think anyone put Glass in your dog's food.

Don't remove the tooth unless they can do it WithOUT anesthesia.  It would be too dangerous to put her under anesthesia at her age.

QUESTION: thanks for the advice . she wont eat anything and she acts like she cant open her mouth . i've got her pedialite, unflavored, shes throwing up.i got a eye dropper and watered down soft can food and she ate some with a spoon in the very outside front of her mouth.then threw up later. so i tryed to eyedrop some and shes biting down  on my fingers,shes just not attracted to any thing food.will that be dangerous to do her feeding for her ?i was told she could get it in her lungs.shes very weak ,this is going on the 5TH day......and she got her tail shut in the door a while back could that cause trouble.?she has a pinched tail.it was caught in the screen for one second,but it hurt her.

Dawn, your kid sounds very sick.  I wonder if time has run out for this family member?  So sorry, you may need to put your dog to sleep because of liver or body systems failure.  I am so sorry about this.
