Cat injured

Question
Cat hit by car, still alive. Was hit at midnight our time. bled from penis till about 1 or so. does not want to open jaw. pretty good head trauma. Put in a warmer place and covered with blanket to stay warmer. I don't know what else I can do to help it. please let me know.

Hello AJ -

The best advice I can give is to get it to a vet ASAP. With severe head trauma you do not want to take any risks.

Try to keep the head stable when moving him. He may have internal bleeding and there may not be much the vet can do but its worth a shot to save his life.

Put a little lavender oil on the blanket you have him wrapped him. This will help him rest comfortably.

I am sorry I cannot give more advice other then keep him comfortable and get him to a vet ASAP.
