Chemical Sensitivity

Question
About a month ago, my Siberian Husky mix was diagnosed with Pancreatitis after throwing up 12-15 times over the course of 1 day. The vet said most likely she had gotten into something. I do not feel this is accurate as my dog is leash walked and monitored while I am home and crated when I am not. She does not get any people food and eats a rather healthy dog food and snacks. Within 5 days prior to her sickness, she was treated with First Shield Trio, flea topical, and given a bath with flea shampoo. I told the vet this, but they disregarded it. I feel her problem was more likely caused by a chemical sensitivity. She has not received any flea meds since. I have been trying to find a good natural brand, but have not been lucky. I did find a natural flea repelling shampoo made with natural oils, however, after bathing her in it yesterday, she vomited once so far. I really feel she has a chemical sensitivity, but what should I do?

Answer
Hello Amy,

For Pancreatitis, I would do the following: 1)Cease any further vaccines of ANY type. 2)If you can find it where you are, or get it on line, feed Holistic Blendz by Solid Gold in combination (apx. 50/50) with a raw food diet.  I would recommend a pre-made frozen one (poultry or fish, no beef) , or if you make your own be sure to research balanced recipes or you can over do the protean. If you can't do raw, be sure to obtain a very potent supplement of probiotics and of enzymes. These would help even if you ad raw, you just wouldn't need as much. 3)No internal toxins for flea control or heartworm prevention (I have Homeopathic Nosodes for heartworm). 4)Try Critter Oil for your natural flea control.  Go to www.critteroil.com. You can order on line, plus be sure to look at all of the many uses and directions for it and read the articles that are on the site.  There is a plethora of information there.

I've been very successful with Pancreatitis dogs over the years. If you are interested in the Nosodes, just call me at 727-327-2356.
